Boyd F. Cox

Mr. Boyd F. Cox, 95, of Spring Place, passed away Monday, May 25, 2009, at his residence. 

Boyd was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice B. Cox; parents, George H. "Doc" and Mary Ann Cox; brothers, Henry Cox and Bedford Cox, and sisters, Thelma Petty, Mildred Ingle, and Christina Cox.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine Manning of Daytona Beach Shores, Fla., Gayle and Randall Green, Debbie and Ken Vance, all of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Sarah and Eric Geyer, Jake Vance, step-grandson, Brian Green; great-grandson, Vance Geyer; sisters, Peggy Vaughn and Leta Taylor of Atlanta; and a brother, Julian Cox of Nashville, Tenn.; many nieces and nephews.

Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Vest and Al Scruggs officiating. Burial will be in Spring Place Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 4-8 p.m.  Peeples Funeral Home of Chatsworth is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
