Mrs. Bertie Roe

Mrs. Bertie Roe, age 89, of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2003.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Florence Deal, brother, Abe Deal, and a sister, Efforene Carlock.

Survivors include her loving husband, Jim Harvey Roe daughters and sons-in-law, Ruby and Marvin Witheron of Chatsworth, Ga., Patricia and Dr. T. D. Hooker of Norris, Tennessee, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, sisters, Ruth Williams of Chatsworth, Ga., Mary Whaley of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Frances Headrick of Tennga, Georgia, and several nieces and nephews.

 Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at the Holly Creek Baptist Church with Dr. T. D. Hooker, Rev. Danny Cochran and Rev. J. D. Cox officiating.

Interment will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens in Chatsworth. The body will lie in state at the church 30 minutes prior to the funeral service.

The family will receive friends at Peeples Funeral Home in Chatsworth, Ga., on Friday, March 21, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Peeples Funeral Home, of Chatsworth, Ga., in charge of funeral arrangements.
