Charles E. Sager

Charles E. Sager, 81, Kingman, Ind. of the Silver Island Community, formerly of Morley, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at his residence. 

He was born December 5, 1920 in Parke County, Ind., the son of the late Howard and Edna Phillips Sager. He married Betty R. Smith on April 26, 1942 in Chatsworth, Ga. She survives. 

Other survivors include: a son, Wayne (Roxie) Sager of Newport, Ind. a daughter, Sandra (Walter) Jordan of Hillsboro, Ind. four grandchildren, Amanda and Daniel Sager of Newport, Amy Andres of Wallace, Ind. and David Doss of Cayuga. 

He was preceded in death by a grandson a great granddaughter and a sister, Jean Davis. 

Charles was a member of the Cayuga Presbyterian Church, a 1939 graduate of Jellico High School, Jellico, Tenn. and a 55 year member of the Paoli Masonic Lodge, Paoli, Ind. He was very active in farming for 55 years and since retirement he has enjoyed woodworking in his shop. 

Service: Monday, December 2, 2002 at 10 a.m. EST at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga, Ind., with Rev. Grover Williams officiating. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park, Terre Haute. Visitation: Sunday December 1, from 2-6 p.m. EST at the funeral home.
