David Lee Sykes

David Lee Sykes, 43, supervisor for Carpet Outlet in Chatsworth, Ga., died of cancer Friday at his home.

 Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Halls Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery. 

He was a member of Dyersburg Independent Free Holiness Church. 

He leaves his mother, Virginia Clark of Dyersburg; three sisters, Mary Virginia Walker of Mayfield, Ky., Charlene Hampton of Upton, Calif., and Sonda Sykes Bishop of Dyersburg, and eight brothers, Sonny Sykes and Eugene Sykes, both of Ro Ellen, Gene Clark of Friendship, Jerry Hays and Did Hays, both of Lenox, and Dan Hays, James Sykes and Gary Sykes, all of Dyersburg. 

The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
