Max E. Sosebee

In remembrance of Max E. Sosebee, 67, who passed away at his home in La Quinta on January 30, 2005, of ALS (commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease). 

He was born on January 20, 1938, to Reno and Juanita Sosebee in Chatsworth, Georgia. He married Joyce DeFranco on October 4, 1958, in Redwood City.

Max was Vice President of Transportation and Distribution at National Preserve Company for 35 years and served in the air police for the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1959. He was a former member of Sharon Heights Country Club in Woodside and a current member of La Quinta Golf Club.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Sosebee of La Quinta; two sons, Scott E. Sosebee and Max Gregory Sosebee of California and his mother Juanita Sosebee Cass of Tennessee. He was also a loving grandfather to his five grandchildren. In addition he leaves his three sisters, Linda Bowman, Sheila Bullard, and Connie Sosebee and three brothers, David Sosebee, John Sosebee, and Ronald Sosebee of Tennessee and Georgia. Members of the DeFranco family also survive him.

A Celebration of Max's Life will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15, at Lou's Village, 1465 San Carlos Ave., San Jose, Calif.
