Mrs. Wray passed away October 18, 1994 at a local nursing home where she had lived since coming from her home in Sparta, Georgia to West Palm Beach, Fla. to be near her only sister. 

Born in Eton, Georgia April 4, 1908, she was the older daughter of Col. and Mrs. R. Noel Steed. She was graduated from the Eton High School and later earned a BS Degree from the Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, Georgia. At the time of her marriage to Mr. Wray Smith of Sparta, Georgia in 1943 she affiliated with the Balerma Baptist Church where he was a member.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her sister, Lucy Steed Foster (Mrs. Earl Sr.), a nephew, Earl C. Foster, cousin, Dr. Charles M. Harris and wife Mrs. Margaret Harris all of West Palm Beach, Florida, Mrs. Reba Westfield of Chatsworth, Georgia, Mrs. Sybil McLemore, Miami, Florida, Mrs. Jim Helduser, Groves, Texas, Mrs. Tay Smith and husband Don Smith of Port Arthur, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the building fund or the United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches, or any other church or charity of your choice.

 Interment will be private. A Memorial Service will be held at the Balerma Baptist Church, Sparta, Georgia at a date and time to be announced.
