Thelma K. Shell, age 83, of 1861 Niles Ferry Rd., Madisonville, passed away 7 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2000 at McMinn Memorial Nursing Home. 

Member of Citico Baptist Church, former employee of Sweetwater Rugs. 

Survivors: daughters & sons in law, Flossie & J.A. Schaffer, Madisonville, Carolyn Williams, Chatsworth, Ga., Shirley & Cap Watson, Vonore; grandchildren & spouses, Stacey & Melanie Williams, Scott & Tammy Williams, Denene Williams, all of Chatsworth, Ga., Mike Williams, Orlando, Fla., Shane & Susan Schaffer, Dusty & Melissa Schaffer, all of Madisonville, Chad & Cindy Schaffer, Vonore; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. 

Funeral 8 p.m. Saturday Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Doug Alexander & Rev. James Patton officiating. Interment 1 p.m. Sunday, Little Toqua Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
