Hattie Mae Baynes Timms Hattie Mae Baynes Timms, 97, of Murray County, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at Hamilton Medical Center. She was the daughter of James Edmond "Ed" and Nancy Emily Holloway Baynes. She was a lifelong resident of Murray County and the oldest member of New Hope Baptist Church. Hattie was a very talented lady and well-known for her arts and crafts. Her flower garden was exceptionally beautiful. Roses, lilies and hollyhocks were some of her favorite flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Lee Timms; infant son, Horace Winford Timms; parents; brothers, Glenn Elbert, Edmond and Charles Baynes; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sid and Pearl Baynes, Bill Baynes, Dessie Baynes and J.L. and Annie Baynes; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maggie and Tom Ridley, Lucy and Kirby Young, Mary and Ben Johnson, Martha and Hughes Kilgore, Annie and Grady Timms and Emma and Hershel Kilgore. She is survived by her children, Louise and Earl Coker, Myrazelle Pletcher, Cliff and Patricia Timms and Rachel Dianne Stinnett; grandchildren, Tim Coker, Tammy Gold, Cindy McClure, Danny Baggett, Maria Roth, Celena Sherrill, Eric Stinnett and James Stinnett; great-grandchildren, Clint Coker, Wyatt Langford, Cody Langford, Michael McClure, Nathan Baggett, Erica Baggett, Leigh Anne Pullen, Joey Roth, A.J. Roth, Hunter Sherrill, Whitney Poe, Morgan Stinnett and Carson Stinnett; sisters-in-law, Margie (Bill) Baynes and Madeline (Charlie) Timms; several cousins and other relatives including five generations of nieces and nephews. Services are Saturday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Chatsworth with the Rev. Edmund Kilgore officiating. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery.
