Mrs. Eugene (Gene) Vargo

Mrs. Eugene (Gene) Vargo, 75, went to be with the Lord July 9 after a long illness.

She was a member of the Poly-town Club and the Miller Avenue United Church of Christ in Akron.

She is survived by son, Ralph Vargo of Bessemer, Ala.; daughter, Barbara Moutsatsos of Tampa, Fla.; brother, Mark Hicks of Dalton, Ga.; grandchildren, Michael and Joe Vargo of North Carolina, William Moutsatsos of Tampa, Fla., Phyllis James of Key West, Fla.; nephews, Denton, Fred and John Hicks, all of Akron, Jack Hicks of Fort Thomas, Ky., Roy Hicks of Jasper, Ga., Carl Hicks of Dawnville, Ga., Boyd Hicks of Chatsworth, Ga. and Ray Hicks of Dalton, Ga.; nieces, Faye Littell of Akron, Maxine McAlesse of Akron, Martha Holmes of Dalton, Ga., Reba Greene, Jeanette Lodsplich and Betty Pinson, all of Chatsworth, Ga., Willdee Jackson of Dalton, Ga., Vera Thomas of Titusville, Fla.; Mossie Hicks of Jasper, Ga.; two great-grandchildren in Florida; manyother relatives in Georgia.

Funeral services were held Monday, in Chatsworth, Ga. Memorial services will be held at Miller Avenue Church Friday evening at 7. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Miller Avenue United Church of Christ; or your

favorite charity.
