Dick Lee Wheeler

Dick Lee Wheeler died Monday, March 26, 2007, in Fairfield, Ohio.  He was 70.

Wheeler was born Oct. 11, 1936, in Tulsa to Arthur and Macie (Beatty) Wheeler. He lived in Ohio for the past two years moving there from Chatsworth, Ga. He formerly lived in Afton. He was a graduate of Afton High School.  He was a Vietnam War veteran of the Air Force, retired in 1976 as a staff sergeant.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Shoenhals Wheeler, and his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine; one son, Richard Wheeler of Hamilton; one daughter, Barbara Gray of Inola, and four grandchildren, Cole Frost, Megan Frost, Doug Wheeler and Brandon Wheeler.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Hope Cemetery of Afton with pastor Skip McClain officiating,

Arrangements are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.
