STONE - Margaret Chastain Stone
Mrs. Margaret C. Stone, age 86 of Jasper, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2004 at Mountainside Medical Center. She
was preceded in death by her husband, Carter Stone, and two sons, Tommy and Billy Jo. Survivors include sons, Jack
and Elbert Stone, both of Jasper, and Robert Stone, Calhoun; daughters, Ruby Duckett, Susie Young, Mary Palmer
and Bonnie Palmer, all of Jasper, Sandy Rafferty, Kennesaw, and Marjorie McDaniel, Ellijay. Twenty-two grandchildren,
37 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren also survive. The funeral service was held Saturday, March
6 at 2 p.m. from the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Harold Cantrell and Jerry Banks officiating. Interment
was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were: Merrick Palmer, Barry Bannister, Scott and Billy Stone, Shane Nelson
and Junior Martin. Cagle Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
