Hix,
a
post-village of Pierce county, is about seven miles southeast of
Commerce, which is the nearest railroad town.

Hoboken, a village of Pierce county,
is a station on the Atlantic Coast Line railroad about sixteen miles
east from Waycross. It has a money order postoffice, express and
telegraph offices, and is the trade and shipping center for an
extensive farming district. The population in 1900 was 60.

Mershon,
a post-village in the northern part of Pierce county, with a population
of 45, is on the Atlantic & Birmingham railroad, about ten miles
west of Offerman.
