Putnam County, Georgia History Putnam County, formed in 1907, has, at Eatonton, a nice new Court House, with beautiful grounds surrounding it, which gives courage to the hope that soon all the records inside will be as neat as the outside.  In the office of the Ordinary all the will books are in very good condition and indexed, as are also the Marriage records, but there are many boxes of old records and papers that need sorting and arranging.  (These have probably been attended to by now.)
