MARKETTE-TOOLE
June 28 1914
One of the loveliest of the mid-summer weddings in Americus was that of Miss Louise Markette and Irving Poole, which was solemnized at Furlow Lawn Baptist church Wednesday at noon. The church was decorated with smilax and ferns,
white oleanders being used effectively against this green background. As Miss Ethel Markette played Mendelssohn's wedding march the bridal party entered. The ushers, Walter Page and Watts Markette, were followed by Miss Ruth
Harris, of Leesburg, who was maid-of-honor.   She wore a charming dress of white crepe made with a pink flowered tunic and a white Milan hat trimmed with pink roses. Her flowers were pink Killarney roses. The bride then entered
with her father, G. W. Markette, She was lovely in a traveling suit of dark blue silk poplin, with which she wore a blouse of sheer white organdie, Her hat was a small Milan shape of the same dark blue shade with a crown of self-toned
silk wreathed with tiny bright-hued flowers. She carried a bouquet of fern and exquisite bride's rosebuds. The bride and her father were met at the altar by the groom and his best man, G, A. Boatwright, of Helena. During the ceremony, which
was performed by Rev. R. L. Bivins, Miss Ethel Markette played "Meditation."  At 12:30 Mr. and Mrs. Poole left for Hampton Springs, Fla., where they will spend two weeks.
