Wedding and Marriage Announcements
CLEMENT -
WAGSTAFF
June 28 1914
Surrounded by relatives and a large gathering of friends the wedding of
Miss Annie Cornelia Wagstaff and Preston Smith Clements of Scotland,
Ga.,
took place Wednesday afternoon at the home of the bride's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. John Puryear Wagstaff, at Lynnvllle, Tenn.
Elder E. H. Hoover, pastor of the Christian church there, performed the
ceremony. The house was beautifully decorated.
The ceremony was performed before an altar of asparagus ferns, palms
and white roses.
Before the ceremony the bride's young cousin, Miss Ella Lee Wagstaff,
rendered an artistic musical program.
The attractive young bride, who is the only daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Wagstaff, wore a blue silk coat suit with blue hat with
touches of gray. The groom Is a wealthy young planter and business man
of Scotland, where the couple will reside after a brief
wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Clements left on the afternoon train.
