Remarks: The peculiar form of disease that obtained most generally in this locality was Typhoid Fever, I am induced to believe that it's existence can be traced to heaps of vegetable matter blended with animal excretions, that uniformly were piled within a short distance of the dwellings of the inhabitants. Old dwellings emitting fetid exhalations may be considered as a s? of cause of this disease..

Remarks: In this subdivision but few local causes of disease obtain, there is nothing surmountable in the face of the country. The lands in a part of the county are oak and thick ivy in the remainder pine, and mixed with other varieties. A portion of the is in a tolerabley fair state of cultivation, yielding good average crops. Some other portions are worn down with excessive culture, and I say excessive carelessness.

Remarks: In point of climate we have one of the most agreeable that probably can be found upon upon the earth. No extremes of heat and cold, sunlight and shade agreably diversified, the earth teeming with products of almost every kind, the toils of labor abundantly rewarded, faces Radiant with health, forms elastic and bouyant, and hearts, extremely thankful to God for mercy.
