REPORT THAT SETTLERS WERE KILLED
Pocatello, Idaho. July 24-Late reports here say Bannock Indians have killed a settler, his wife and child, in the Salt River Valley, and the white men pursuing the murders killed six of the red skins. Union Pacific Engineer Robert Fitzpatrick, who pulled the north bound freight into Pocatello at 6 o'clock last evening, brought the story of the conflict in the Salt River valley.

CLAIRVOYANT FACING ANOTHER FRAUD COUNT
Pocatello, Idaho-A.B. Stevens, known also as A.B. Meyer, who was recently convicted here on a charge of obtaining money under false pretenses from Mrs. Agnes Schwabe of McCammon, was on trial in district court Friday on a similar charge preferred by Karl Kass of American Falls.
    Meyer, who claims to be a clairvoyant, at one time practiced in Chippewa Falls, Wis. He is under sentence to serve 5 to 14 years in state penitentiary as a result of the first trial.

Pocatello, Idaho. Jan. 3-Two eastern Idaho sheriffs elect will take office Jan. 13-their birthday.
    David J. McNichols will become Bannock County Sheriff. . Harold Matson will pin on Madison County's badge at Rexburg, 80 miles north.
