ADAMS, WILLA

Willa Gertrude Adams, 78, of Burley, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
 She was born Oct. 22, 1925, in Sego, Utah, the daughter of John and Bertrude Burdick Brace. She received her education and graduated from high school in Valley City, Utah. She married George Ansel Adams on August 27, 1945, in Twin Falls.
 Following marriage, they lived in Salt Lake City, where they owned and operated boarding houses and restaurants. In 1970, they moved to Burley, Idaho, where they continued their career in the restaurant business. They first owned and operated the Oregon Trail Caf? in Burley and the Depot Grill in Rupert, later purchasing Adams Caf? in Burley, which they operated until retirement.
 Willa was an outstanding hostess. She enjoyed people and had the talent of making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. She was an avid reader and while living in Salt Lake City, she was a member of a Pinochle Club.
 She is survived by her daughter, Kara Adams (Ray) Craner of Burley; her siblings, John Reed (Donna) Brace of Magna, Utah, Glenna Navarro (Jack Sloan) of Heyburn, Idaho, and Lois (Joe) Velasquez of Hayward, California; a grandson, Ghentry (Emma) Pace of Salt Lake City, Utah; four step-grandchildren, Jade Spann, Jasmine Spann, Matthew Craner and Douglas Craner and numerous neices and nephews.
 She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George, who died in 1991; a son, Kyle Adams, who died in 1979; a granddaughter, KiKi Adams; her brother, Ross Brace; and three sisters, Maxine Peterson, Larain Diamond, and Lorna Powers and numerous neices and nephews.
 The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, at Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., Burley, with Bishop Jack M. Hunsaker officiating. Burial will be in the Paul Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Monday, at Rasmussen Funeral Home.

BLOCH, VICTOR

Victor K. Bloch     BURLEY -- Victor Kurt Bloch, 83, of Burley, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at his home.     A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at the Burley United Methodist Church, 450 E. 27th St., with the Reverend Darcey Gritzmacher officiating. Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson, Calif.     The family will receive friends one hour before the service on Monday at the church. YANCY, BILL

Deceased Name: Bill Yancy, Jr.
Bill Yancy, Jr., 61 year old Oakley resident, died Saturday, October 30, 1999, at the Cassia Regional Medical Center in Burley. He was born on October 16, 1938, in Stigler, Oklahoma, the son of Billy Jackson and Pearlie Mae Brizendine Yancy. Bill attended schools in California before joining the United States Army, where he served for 25 years. He traveled to many places during his service in the military, and one of his favorite was his stay with his wife in the Mini-Cassia area. Bill met and later married Mary Valliere in February of 1959. She preceded Bill in death in October of 1994. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and spending time in the mountains. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Angela Yancy of Meridian; two sisters, Norma Trammell of Madera, California, and Betty Smith of Boise; two brothers, Stacy Yancy of Red Bluff, California, and Kenneth Yancy of Chowchilla, California; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his wife Mary, he was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Shirley Sartin. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, November 5, 1999, at the Payne Memorial Chapel, 221 West Main Street in Burley, with Father Juan Garatea as celebrant.
