Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Stebbins, 1108 South Walnut avenue,
have received word of the death of their son-in-law. Robert George
Wilson, who passed away at Payette, Idaho, yesterday. Mr. Wilson was
a former resident of Freeport his wife having been Miss Lillian
Stebbins. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Grant Gardner and Mrs.
William Nixon, both residing in Idaho. Funeral services will be held
at Payette.

GRANDFATHER OF
LOCAL MAN DROPS DEAD IN GARDEN
Mr. E.A. Turner is in receipt of a message from
Payette, Idaho, telling of the sudden death of his grandfather, a
former Iowan.
The old gentleman, Mr. J.M. Turner, aged 71 years, was
attending to some work in his garden, which he loved to cultivate,
and he suddenly collapsed, and was picked up lifeless a few moments
thereafter.
His heart had troubled him.
Surviving are his widow and one son, Mr. L.E. Turner,
of Curlew Iowa, father of the Iowa Citian. Three brothers and four
grandchildren also survive.

STETLER
BUCYRUS, Jan 4.-Word has been received of the death at
Payette, Idaho, Saturday, of Mrs. A.A. Stetler, formerly Margaret
Rupp of Bucyrus, and sister of Mrs. F.T. Johnston of this city. Mrs.
Stetler is survived by her husband and one daughter, Helen.

TWO ARE KILLED IN CRASH
OF AIRPLANE
Ontario, Ore., Jan. 1.-A student pilot and his
instructor were killed today when their airplane crashed at Payette,
Ida., across the Snake river.
Cecil Graul, 47, pilot of the plane, died in Ontario
hospital two hours after the crash. The student Telwin Sweet, 32,
was killed instantly.

FATHER OF MRS.
CRAY DIES AT IDAHO HOME
Sparks, Feb. 25-Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Crays of Sparks
have gone to Payette, Ida., where they called by the death of Mrs.
Crays' father, George F. Keele, who died suddenly Thursday.
Keele was 87 years old and a native of St. Louis, Mo.,
being a rancher at Payette for nearly 40 years. Recently he retired.
In addition to the widow, he is survived by Mrs. Crays and nine
other children.

Mary Ann Marfoot was born in Mason county, Ill., July 6, 1844, and
passed away in F[P]ayette, Saturday, October 22, 1921, aged 77
years. In
1866 she was married to Benhamin F. Swartz in Illinois. To this
union
two sons, Charlie and William, were born. Funeral services were held
in
F[P]ayette at the M.E. church Tuesday afternoon, October 24, the
Fruitland
M.E. pastor, the Rev. George Todd, officiating, assisted by the
F[P]ayette
pastor, the Rev. Clyde Walker. The body was laid to rest in
Riverside
cemetery, F[P]ayette.
