John Osterman

Osterman, John farmer; Sec. 6; P.O. Keokuk Junction. His parents were Habbo and Gracie Osterman, of Germany, now living in Northeast township. Mr Osterman was born in Hanover, Germany, in 1842; came to America, and settled in Adams county, 1855; was married in December, 1868, to Anna Woid, born also in Germany, in 1847. They have five children: Haboo, William, Grecan, Hattie, and John. He owns 108 acres of improved land in Clayton township, worth $40 per acre; has lived on the farm he now owns, since 1974.
