Benton-Dudley Implements Booklet-"H.A. Silsby's Home Remedies"

This is page one inside the Benton-Dudley Booklet that Tom Simon's ancestor H.A. Silsby kept his many home remedies for misc. ills in.
I can read "Fly Poisons" on the top line.
A cheap and reliable fly poison which is not dangerous to human life is Bichromate of potash in solution. Dissolve one dram in 2 ounces of water. Add a little sugar and place about the house in shallow dishes. The bichromate of potash can be purchased at any drugstore.
To clear rooms of flies, use carbolic acid. Heat a shovel and pour on it 20 drops of the poison. The vapor will kill the flies
I can't make out too much of the small writing on the bottom of the booklet on this page other
than boil some type of chips in a little water, sweeten with syrup or molasses and place in pan around where flies
are. (?) It is distinctive to flies but not to children.
