CAIRO SAND BOIL Alexander County Illinois Genealogy Trails Contributed by Andrea White ![]() During the 1937 flood, Margaret White was a Red Cross nurse. She took many pictures to record her experience with the towns and refuge camps that were used for displaced people throughout Southern Illinois.
