A Post Office was established at Delta on March 3, 1900. The name of the community had been changed to Delta from Vick. The post office was discontinued October 10, 1920. This area is still known as Delta, but little remains to remind one that a community existed. It once was a flourishing lumber camp with about 300 residents. There was a hotel, stores, churches, several houses and a school there at that time. All that remains is the deserted Pleasant Valley Church and the concrete supports on both sides of the creek for the long gone footbridge.
