DELTA SCHOOL TEACHERS-1940-1944

Delta was a two-room school, but there were not enough students to use both rooms every year. During World War II Room #2 was not being used for students, but the students collected used scrap metal for the war effort and it was put in this room.

Teachers during this time included: Mrs.Mabel Mannese. She taught all eight grades. Eugene Webb and Mrs. Thelma Hartman taught sixth through eighth one year. They may have been substitute teachers. Contributed by Conrad Kee.

Some of the students attending Delta School between 1940-1944 were: Denny, Conrad, Lester, George, Eanos, Vernon and Jesse "Bub" Kee, Junior Ohler, Bobby Abercrombie, Thelma and Pauline Philips, Coleen Durham, Gladys Hughes, Zelda and Harley Simpkins, Margaret and Pearl Verble, Billy Joe and Betty Dickerson, Ralph Bates, Willard McClule's children, Ilene Strader, Hall and Geneva McCrite, Doris Dillow, and Lester, Imogene and Gladys?
