Tamms, IL.--DAVID L. FARRIS, 79, of Tamms died Thursday, July 19, 2007, at Jonesboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Jonesboro, Ill.Olive Branch, IL.--KERMIT FARRIS, age 79, of Olive Branch, passed away Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Hillside Terrace Nursing Home in Cobden. He was born August 11, 1910 in Hamilton County, Ill., the son of Samuel W. and Luanna (Wheeler) Farris. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Thelma Clutts of Thebes, and by nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Kermit Farris were held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, with Rev. Taylor Coursey, officiating. INVERNESS, FL--CARL P. FAUKNER,
87, of Inverness died Friday in Citrus Memorial Hospital. A native of
Cairo, Ill., he moved to this area three years ago from Memphis, Tenn.
He was a retired sales representative for the John Deer Tractor Co., a
World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy, and a member of the
Main Street Baptist Church of Inverness.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Adams.

Maitland, FL--PHILIP L. FAULKNER,
69, 125 Tangelo Court, Maitland, died Sunday (December 29, 1985). Born
in Cairo, Ill., he moved to Maitland from Chicago in 1973. He was a
retired contract officer for the U.S. Department of Defense and a
member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Maitland. He was an Army
veteran of World War II and a member of DAV and National Association of
Retired Federal Employees.
Survivors: wife, Dorothy E.; son, Bill Hickman, Beaumont, Texas;
daughters, Janice Schopfer, Moncks Corner, S.C., Diane Bruton,
Jacksonville, Nancy Smith, Chicago; brother, Ernest, Independence,

Collinsville, IL--HELEN LUCILLE FEARNO,
nee Sharp, 81, of Collinsville, Ill., born May 12, 1922, in Elco, Ill.,
died Sunday, May 25, 2003, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. Fearno was a member of Cahokia First Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Fearno; her parents,
Pierce and Mary, nee Meisenheimer, Sharp; a stepdaughter, Jeanne
Springfield; and two brothers, Raymond and Bobbie Joe Sharp.
She is survived by her two children, Raymond (Shari) Butler of Troy,
Ill., and Mary Rodriguez of Edwardsville, Ill.; three stepdaughters,
Jan (John) Cummins of Rushville, Ind., Jane (Ron) Biggerstaff of Stone
Mountain, Ga., and Marilyn (John) Lambert of Baltimore, Md.; 20
grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruth (Harry)
Schellingberger of Fairmont City, Ill., and Lena Barker of Tamms, Ill.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Cairo, IL.--JOSEPH FEISAL,
48, 2813 Sycamore, died Tuesday evening at St. Mary's Hospital.
Mr. Feisal had been a resident of Cairo for practically all his life
and was a member of the First Christian Church.
He is survived by one brother, Rev. Edward Feisal, Chapin, Ill., and several cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the First
Christian Church with the Rev. Bascom Hopkins officiating. Burial
will be in the Spencer Heights Cemetery, at Mounds.
Friends may call at the Darrell E. Kirby Funeral Home after 4 p.m.
today and until 12 Noon Friday when the casket will be taken to the

Cairo, IL.--MRS. MINNIE FEUCHTER, age about 82, died Friday morning at St. Mary's Hospital where she had been a patient for the past week. She had made her home in Cairo most of her life and was a member of St. Patrick's church. Survivors include her husband, William; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. The body is at Karcher Brothers Funeral Home where friends may call after 10 a.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick's Church Monday at 8 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. HOMOSASSA, FL–RICHARD N. FINCH,
90, of Homosassa, died Thursday (Aug. 14, 1997). Born in Cairo, Ill.,
he came here two years ago from Salisbury, Md., and was a retired
locomotive engineer for the Pennsylvania Railroad. He was a member of
the Brotherhood of Engineers, and he was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah J.; a daughter, Sally Towsley,
Homosassa; a brother, M.A., Virginia; three grandchildren; and four

Cobden, IL--AMY FISHER,
85 of Cobden, Illinois died at 12am on April 13, 2007 at home.
She was born March 13, 1922 in Thebes to Samuel Henry Coplin and
Nora Jane Jackson Coplin. She married Ardell Vanover, May 02 1920
he passed Dec 22 1944. He was killed in WWII. She
also married Ernest Leroy Fisher in 1998. He preceded in death on
July 14,1993.
Amy was a homemaker.
She is survived by five sons, and two daughters, Steve Fisher of
Cobden, Mike Fisher of Pawnee Ok, Mary Grimes of Austin Tx, Robert E.
McCain of McClure, IL, Joella Vanover of Cobden, Donald Vanover
Of Rochester, Ill, James Merlin Vanover of Cape Gir, Mo and one
sister-in-law Colleen Collins of Olive Branch Ill.
Funeral services were at 1 pm Thursday, April 19, 2007 in Crain Funeral
Home in Anna Illinois, with Marvin McAnelly officiating. Interment was

Olive Branch, IL.--CHARLES EDWARD FISHER, 64, of Olive Branch, formerly of Tamms, IL, died Monday, July 9, 2007 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born Nov 4, 1942 in Alexander County, IL, son of Harry Earl and Gladys May Stephens Fisher. He married Margaret Dabbs. Survivors include his wife, Maggie of Olive Branch; a son, Charles Edward Fisher, Jr. of Arlington, KY; a daughter, Mary Ellen Fisher of Bowling Green, KY; a stepson, David Dabbs of Tamms; two sisters, Earlene Salmon and Thelma Irene Fisher of Olive Branch; two brothers, George Hudson Fisher of Olive Branch, Ray Eugene Fisher of Hardin, IL; five grandchildren; the mother of his children, Patricia Fisher of Barlow, KY; nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Raymond Earl Fisher and Norman Rendal Fisher. Visitation will be noon to service time Thursday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday (July 12, 2007) at the funeral home with the Rev. Jimmie Monahan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery at Olive Branch.
East Cape Girardeau, IL--DOROTHY LORAINE FITZGERALD, 82, of Camden, S. C., formerly of East Cape Girardeau, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 at Kershaw County Medical Center in Camden. She was born Dec. 2, 1925 in Alexander County, Ill., to Robert and Nora Meyers Dover. She married Walter Fitzgerald Dec. 28, 1946. He preceded her in death Nov. 2, 1983. Fitzgerald was a member of Unity Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. She is survived by three sons, Jim Fitzgerald and Allen Fitzgerald, both of South Carolina, and Charles Fitzgerald of North Carolina; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Alfred Dover; Howard Dover, Elroy Dover and Floyd Dover; and a sister, Beverly McHarry; nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and an infant sister. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today (Jan. 15, 2008) at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, with the Rev. Larry Buckles officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.
Cairo, IL.--MRS. EMMA CHARLOTTE FITZGERALD
died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James A. Cowell, 1606 Washington
Avenue, Tuesday evening at 6 o'clock, following and illness of about
two weeks. She was the widow of
the late Maurice J. Fitzgerald and was a devout member of St. Joseph's
Catholic church. Surviving Mrs. Fitzgerald are two daughters, Mrs.
Cowell of Cairo, and Mrs. Lawrence B. Nethard(?), St. Paul, Minn.; two
sons, Maurice J. Fitzgerald and Henry M. Fitzgerald, both of
Cairo: a sister, Mrs. J. F. Hoffman of Mound City, and a brother,
Henry Hasenjaeger of Cairo. She also leaves two grandchildren and
an aunt., Mrs. Anna Bishop of this city. Funeral services will be held
Friday morning at 8:30 o'clock at St. Joseph's church, with Father R.
E. Jantzen officiating. The cortege will leave the residence for
the church at 8:15 a.m. Interment will be made in Calvary
cemetery at Villa Ridge. Karcher Brothers will direct the

Thebes, IL--PANSY KIRBY FITZGERALD, 88, of Thebes went home to be with Jesus surrounded by her family at the home of her son Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008. She was born Dec. 31, 1919 in Alexander County, IL to Charles and Maude Jackson Prater. She married Brother Robert Ray Kirby Aug. 4, 1937, and they enjoyed 50 years of marriage until his death Nov. 27, 1987. She married Clarence Fitzgerald March 4, 1989. He preceded her in death June 6, 1993. She is survived by a daughter, Hester "Sis" (James) Williams of McClure, IL; a son Lee (Nelda) Kirby of Thebes; a daughter-in-law, Kathryn Kirby of Thebes; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents; a son, Elvis "Bud" Kirby; two infant great-granddaughters; three sisters and five brothers. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, IL with the Rev. Kenny Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Tamms, IL.--BEULAH HEATER FORD, 94, of Tamms, died at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2006 in Day Star Care Center in Cairo. She was born on July 7, 1911 to Jack and Clara Lamburth. She married Norman "Duke" Heater on March 9, 1931. He preceded her in death on June 15, 1977. She later married Floyd Ford on Jan. 10, 1986, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 2003. She was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church and the Tamms Senior Citizen. She was a homemaker. She is survived by one granddaughter, Melinda Bigham of Tamms; one great-grandson, Craig Bigham and wife, Amy, of Tamms; two great-great-grandsons, Nathan and Cayden Bigham of Tamms; two sisters, Dorothy Bigsby and Mary Bell Laird, both of Flint, Mich.; nieces and nephews, including Larry Joe Lamburth of Tamms, Ralph Reno of Paducah, and Margaret Ann Grace of Villa Ridge. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, one daughter and son-in-law, Norma Kay and Donald Murphy; brothers and sisters, including Henry Lamburth, Ann Labarge, Pearl Sullivan and Jessie Reno; and special sister-in-law, Anna Mae Irby. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2006 in Crain Funeral Home in Tamms with the Rev. Bill Fox officiating. PEORIA -- Services for CLIFFORD EUGENE FORD, JR.,
26, of Scott City, Mo., formerly of Thebes, the son of a Peoria woman,
was pronounced dead at 7 p.m. Monday, July 14, 1997, near Bozeman,
Mont., will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in rural Thebes.
He died from injuries suffered in a trucking accident near Bozeman.
He was born July 2, 1971, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., to Clifford Eugene Sr. and Bonnie Caudell Ford.
Surviving are one son, Clifford Eugene III of East Peoria; his fiancee,
Terry Miller of Scott City; his father and stepmother, Clifford and
Marie Ford of Thebes; his mother and stepfather, Bonnie and Tom Sassman
of Peoria; one sister, Tracie Renshaw of East Cape; one brother, Travis
of East Cape; three brothers, Chad Lohmann and Mark Lohmann, both of
Thebes, and Tommy Sassman of Peoria; and two stepsisters, Bianca
Sassman and Jenny Sassman, both of Peoria.
He served in the Air Force.

Olive Branch, IL--GENE FORE, 81, of Olive Branch died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, at his home. He was born Sept. 11, 1927, in Kaiser, Ark., to Ernest E. and Mae Lauder Fore. He and Evelyn Volner were married May 11, 1974. Fore was a lifelong farmer in Olive Branch. He was an avid fisherman and hunter but always loved fishing the best. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn of Olive Branch; a daughter, Glenda (Steve) Burgess of Olive Branch; five granddaughters, Angela (Rodney) Dillinger of Norris City, Ill., Monica (Patrick) McClanahan, Tanda (Jared) Vaughn and Tara (Mike) Story, all of Olive Branch, Julie Dailey and fiancee Mike Poole of Elco, Ill.; two grandsons, Joel (Rena) McHarry of Olive Branch and Clayton Fore of Thebes; 14 great-grandchildren; two half-sisters; a half-brother; nieces, nephews; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gary Gene Fore in 2005; four brothers and a sister. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time Friday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Verlee Eaker officiating. Interment will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens. --Contributed by J. C. McNelly.
Thebes, IL.--ALBERT LEON FOUTCH SR. was 66 year old of Thebes Ill died April 17 2004 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau Mo.
He was born on March 23, 1938 at Thebes, Ill, son of the late Edward and Lura Bell Coplin Foutch.
A member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church, he was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include a son Albert Jr. of Thebes, a daughter Helen
Foutch of Long Island, N. Y.; two sisters, Barbara Shelton of
Jackson, Mo. and Hazel Garrett of Thebes, Ill; four brothers, J. P.
Foutch, Ernest Stevensons of Thebes, Charles Eugene Foutch of
Roxana, IL, Eddie Foutch of Thebes and six grandchildren.
Two brothers proceded him in death. His mother's name is
Lura Bell Coplin Foutch Stevenson, she also proceeded him in death.
Graveside services were conducted Wednesday at Rose Hill Cemetery
in Thebes Ill with Rev. Jimmie Monahan officating. Grave military rites
were conducted by Pulaski County VFW Post 8891. Crain Funeral
Home of Tamms was in charge of arrangements. --Contributed by

Diswood, IL.--Funeral services for HERSCHEL FOUTCH, JR., two-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Foutch, of Diswood, who died at St. Mary's Hospital Friday after an illness of bronchial pneumonia, will be held Monday at the Sandy Creek Baptist Church. Interment will be made in the McCrite Cemetery with Crain & Parker in charge. Besides his parents the deceased is survived by an infant brother, his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S. L. TAMMS -- WILMA P. FRAZIER, 71, died at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, in Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Jones Funeral Home in Tamms with
the Rev. Terry Mejean officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion
Cemetery in Thebes. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday
at the funeral home.

Cairo, IL.-- F. MICHAEL FROMM,
DMD, 61, of Rockford, formerly of Cairo, passed away Saturday, May 26,
2005, in Rockford Memorial Hospital following a courageous battle with
cancer. Mr. Fromm was born May 8, 1944, in Cairo, the son of Thomas J.
and Margie Oakes Watson. Mike practiced dentistry in Rockford since the
early 1980s. He's a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from
1962-1966 in Vietnam and as a dentist from 1976-1981. He is a member of
the American Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, American
Legion, Rotary International and played in the band 'Dixieland Docs.'
Mr. Fromm was a graduate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale and
Washington University School of Dentistry in St. Louis. Survivors
include his wife Laura; children, Kiersten M. Fromm, Liam N. Fromm, Ian
M. Fromm and Sara Osborne; grandchildren Owen Osborne and Ethan Fromm;
brother, Douglas Fromm; sisters-in-law, JoAnne (Joe) Villasenor and
Terri Lambiotte; brothers-in-law, Greg (Jane) Lambiotte and Jack
Lambiotte; mother-in-law, Martha Lambiotte; nieces, nephews and cousins
including, Susan Esquivel, Shannon and Noah Fromm, David and Robert
Villasenor and Daniel Villasenor. He was preceded in death by his
parents. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2005, in Fitzgerald
Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Road in
