WEHMEYER CEMETERY
Alexander County Illinois Genealogy Trails
This cemetery is located on Bean Ridge Road near Thebes. Go 1.8 miles on Bean Ridge Road, then on the left is a small hill, all overgrown with trees. You cannot see the cemetery from the road. It is on Wehmeyer property so ask for permission to cross the field. The cemetery was first known as Cauble Cemetery and later (K)Clutts before going by the name Wehmeyer. There are several unmarked graves.

HENDERSON, Martha, w/o W. H., b. Jun 3, 1848; d. May 14, 1905, contributed by gggranddaughter, Kathy Weichert, who says the stone is lying on the ground next to her husband's stone. This poem is on the stone: We have lost our darling mother. She has bid us all adieu. She has gone to live in heaven and her form is past from view.
