Clara Myrtle Frances Ingram, age 75, of Mt.Sterling, passed away at
2:23 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2004 at her residence.
She was born on January 1, 1929 in Clayton, Illinois the daughter of John William and Elvira Fern Ferrill Kendrick. She married Lyle Dean Ingram on December 16, 1945 in Mt.Sterling, and he survives.
Mrs. Ingram was a certified nurse s aid having worked for several years at the Whited Nursing Home in Mt.Sterling and at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville. She also assisted several elderly residents in the area and had worked as a cook and waitress for various local restaurants.
She attended Council School and Sunny Hill School both in Brown County and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt.Sterling. Mrs. Ingram loved her collection of cat figurines and she always enjoyed gardening and canning the produce from her garden, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Dean Ingram of Mt.Sterling, 4 children, Thelma Joyce Colgan of Quincy, Virginia Belle Ingram of Mt.Sterling, Charles D. Ingram of Timewell, and Billy Ray Ingram of Camden. 1 Brother Charles Pfleiger of Colchester. 12 Grandchildren Joshua, Dan, Cindy, Frances, James, Kimberly, Wendy, Joseph, Cristina, Michael, Sky, and Destiny also survive along with several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son Lyle Eugene Ingram, 1 brother John Kendrick, and 1 sister Virginia Reische.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2004 at the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt.Sterling with Rev. Dan Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Hersman Cemetery south of Mt.Sterling. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 on Saturday evening at the funeral home.
