Arlington Grade School
Donated by Mary Hunter Eichhorn
Mary writes, " I found some old photos in my Dad's things; so far, what I have are class pictures from Arlington Grade School taken in the 1930's. Three of them have the dates written on the front or the back; the other two pictures have to be from the 30's as well since my Dad or one of his brothers are in them. Unfortunately, I really don't know that much about the Arlington school. I think that Benedictine sisters ran it when my father and his brothers attended it. By the time that I went there in the late 50's for 1st and 2nd grades, the sisters were gone and we had regular teachers. I also think that I remember hearing that the sisters had a convent in Arlington across from the existing St. Patrick's Church, but I am not absolutely sure on that.
