Farmers are getting impatient for the opening of spring work.

Watson Palmer's lost their only child last week, of congestion of the brain.

It is reported that a den of wolves was found and captured from under the bridge, north of M. R. Flowers' house.

Mrs. Mary Stacy telegraphs from her California home, that it weighs 10 lbs, and its name is Ester May. We all congratulate.

John Igon is about to go into the coal trade. He will keep on hand the best quality of coal, and sell at the lowest possible cash price.

School district No. 3, Clarion elected a full Board of lady directors. Mrs. Sarah M. Smith, Mrs. Lydia Hopkins, Mrs. Lidia Marriott.

The school meeting in La Moille resulted in the election of Mr. Jos. Rambo, as successor to Dr. Rice. Mrs. Williams was the opposing candidate.

Mrs. Cass lost eight of her cattle in one day, last week. Great anxiety is felt for fear it may be some malignant fever. We have not heard particulars, as the condition of roads render communication rather bad.
