EDSALL. Corydon Perry Edsall, 60 years, died at home in Woodburn, Il Feb 24. Funeral from home. Rev. E.J. Burgess
of Woodburn. Son of William and Lydie Edsall was born two miles north of Grafton June 6,1851. Married Katheine
M. Schafer, April 6, 1879. Children and wife survive: Harry of Bunker Hill, George of East St Louis, Andrew and
Arthur of Wood River, Albert of Woodburn; three daughters: Mrs Edith Dyke of Hillsboro, Il, Misses Lorena and Freda
Edsall of Woodburn. He was graduate of Champaign U. Class of 1873. Taught school in Jersey and Calhoun Co. Editor
of Grafton News in 1885. Brother of Harvey and Thomas Edsall of Grafton and spent part of his early life in Grafton.

Bessie M. Ehret, 62, of Pleasant Hill, IL died Sunday, March 31, 1991 at Pittsfield Manor Nursing Home in Pittsfield,
IL. Ehret retired in April of 1990 from Louisiana Plastics, where she was a factory worker. She was also a member
of the Jehovah Witness of Bowling Green, MO. Born April 30, 1928 in Calhoun County she was the daughter of John
and Mary. Beasley Roach. She married Gene Ehret August 30, 1972 in Bowling Green, MO and he survives. Also surviving
are three sons, Larry Goewey of Belleview, Bill Goewey of Pleasant Hill and Jerry Goewey of Rockport; eight daughters,
Judy Hagen of Pittsfield, Paulette Hansford of Denver, CO, Janet Butler of Chambersburg, Jane Goewey of Macomb,
Patty Eynouf of Denver, CO, Sue Hibbs of Rockport, Peggy Dark of Pittsfield, and Sandy Killebrew of Pittsfield;
one brother, Robert Roach of Detroit; 25 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by
one son, one brother, one granddaughter and one great-grandson. Visitation was held Tuesday at Ward-Lummis Funeral
Home in Pleasant Hill.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday, (today), April 3, 1991 at the Ward-Lummis Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill
with Robert Park officiating. Burial will be in Crescent Heights Cemetery in Pleasant Hill.

ELLEDGE.
Viola C. Elledge, 94, formerly of Nebo, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, at the Eastside Health and Rehabilitation
Center in Pittsfield. She was born Aug. 2, 1915, at Hamburg, the daughter of Rufus and Cordellia Campbell Crader.
She married Orland Elledge June 12, 1937, in Jerseyville and he preceded her in death Aug. 24, 1994. Viola was
a farm wife and homemaker and she truly enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren. She was a member of the Nebo Church
of Christ. Survivors include two sons: Gale (Carmen) Elledge of Louisian, Mo. and Don (Kathy) Elledge of Peoria.
Eight grandchildren, 19 great- grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild; four sisters: Martha, Anna Belle,
Sadie and Loretta and four brothers, Gary, Gordon, Dean and Harrison Crader. Viola was preceded in death by her
parents, husband, a brother and two sisters.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at the Lummis Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill conducted by Bro.
Wilson Ramsey. Burial followed at the Nebo Cemetery. Visitation was held from noon until time of services Sunday.
Memorials may be made to the charity or organization of the donor's choice. Lummis Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill
