Private Charles Gable - no photo - Son of Mr. and Mrs. William Gable, born at Mt. Carroll, Illinois; inducted for service at Camp Grant, Illinois in 1918 and served in the Infantry.

Sergeant Ralph E. Garman Son of E. H. Garman, born at Lanark, Illinois November 20, 1899; volunteered for service at Chicago, Illinois July 1917. Served overseas 12 months at St. Naziare, France in a Mechanical Unit, Motor Transport Service.

Private Ralph Elwyn Gillogly Son of Edward E. (Deceased) and Anna M. Gillogly, born at Mt. Carroll, Illinois July 17, 1895; volunteered for service at Chicago, Illinois September 27, 1917, serving overseas 12 months with Battery C. 124th Field Artillery, 33rd Division, participating in St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne Offensives. Army of Occupation in Luxembourg.

Private Chas. Ginther Son of John and Elizabeth Ginther, born at Mt. Carroll, Illinois February 22, 1891; inducted for service at Savanna, Illinois June 13, 1918; served overseas 3 months in Battery A. 139th Field Artillery.








Private George Ginther Son of John and Lizzie Ginther, born at Mt. Carroll, Illinois November 13, 1895; induced for service at Savanna, Illinois February 24, 1918, serving 9 months overseas with the engineer Corps.

Lieutenant Harold W. Graham Son of Harve and Nettie Graham, of Mt. Carroll, Ill. Born at Monmouth, Ill. September 12, 1890. Volunteered June 8, 1917 at Chicago, Ill. Served in Aviation branch of American Army. Died in service at Dayton, Ohio February 18, 1918.

Private 1CL Hommer D. Grimm Son of Chas. Filmore and Lillie May Grimm, born at Mt. Carroll, Illinois May 1898; volunteered for service at Chicago, Illinois September 18, 1917 serving at General Hospital No. 9, Lakewood, New Jersey.







Private Samuel C. Grimm Son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. F. Grimm, born at Mt. Carroll, Illinois October 26, 1893; inducted for service at Savanna, Illinois May 4, 1918; served overseas nearly 10 months with Co. B. 20th Machine Gun Battalion, 7th Division, participating in the St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne Offensives, receiving wounds.










Private Herman Handel - no photo - Son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Handel, born at Mt. Carroll, Illinois; inducted for service at Camp Grant, Illinois in June 1917; served overseas 12 months in the Infantry and participated in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive.

Private Lee. D. Hannes Son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hannes, born at Mt. Carroll, Illinois May 16, 1896; inducted for service at Mt. Carroll, Illinois April 1, 1918, serving overseas 12 months with 1st Army Ordinance Detachment in the St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne Offensives.

Private 1CL Charles Hartman Son of W. B. and Fanny Hartman, born at Mt. Carroll, Illinois October 20, 1890; volunteered for service at Savanna, Illinois June 13, 1918; served 3 months overseas with Battery A. 139th Field Artillery.








Private 1CL Jesse Harold Hartman Son of Benjamin Franklin Hartman, born at Mt. Carroll, Illinois January 8, 1895; inducted for service at Camp Grant, Illinois October 4th, 1917, serving 10 months overseas with 211th Military Police.

2nd Lieut. Raymond M. Hartman Son of Albert T. and Mary Hartman, born at Mt. Carroll, Illinois in October 1889; inducted for service at Savanna, Illinois June 14, 1918; served at Sweeney Motor School, Kansas City; Co. 12 1st Road Regiment, Camp Joseph E. Johnstone, Florida, and Co. 340 G. F., Camp Merritt, New Jersey. Attended Officers Training School at Camp Joseph E. Johnstone, Fla., where he received his commission.

Ward Hartman Son of Mr. And Mrs. William Hartman, volunteered for service in the Student Army Training Corps at Grinnell College, Grinnell, Iowa.









Sergeant Roy L. Holman Son of C. N. and Mina Holman, born at Mt. Carroll, Illinois May 3, 1897; volunteered for service at Des Moines, Iowa January 6, 1918; serving overseas 11 months with the 3rd Division, participating in the battles of Chateau Thierry, 1st and 2nd Battles of the Marne, St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne Offensives. Wounded 3 times, twice in the head and once in the arm.

Corporal Preston Ivey Son of George W. and Mary J. (Deceased) Ivey, born at Galena, Illinois August 9, 1893; inducted for service at Camp Grant, Illinois September 19, 1917; served overseas 16 months with Co. E. 59th Infantry, 4th Division, participating in Aisne-Marne, St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne offensives. Received a Machine Gun bullet wound in left ankle on July 19, 1918. Served in the Army of Occupation in Germany.

Private Lawrence Francis Isenhart Son of Frank H. Isenhart, born at Mt. Carroll, Illinois December 16, 1898; volunteered in the Student Army Training Corps, October 8, 1918 at the University of Illinois.









Oliver Jones Son of Mr. and Mrs. Newman Jones, born at Mt. Carroll, Illinois; entered service in 1917 at Camp Grant, Illinois, serving overseas in the Engineers.

Private Lawrence Merle Kaufman Son of James and Anna Kaufman, born at Mt. Carroll, Illinois August 18, 1895; volunteered for service at Galena, Illinois June 14, 1918, and served as a Truck Driver in the Field Artillery.

Vernon David Kaufman Son of James and Anna Kaufman, born at Mt. Carroll, Illinois August 12, 1899; volunteered for service at Chicago, Illinois August 7, 1918; served 10 months overseas with M. H. S. 503.

Wagoner Fred F. Keller Son of George Keller, Sr., born at Pleasant Valley, Illinois March 17, 1892; inducted for service at Ft. Thomas, Kentucky June 1, 1918, serving enlistment in the states with Supply Company, 46th Infantry.






Private Lloyd C. Keltner Son of J. H. and Ellen Keltner, born at Freedom Township, Illinois October 16, 1894; volunteered for service at Freeport, Illinois December 10, 1917, serving in the Aviation Corps.

Private 1CL Lewis Ray Kentner Son of Lewis E. Kentner, born at Sabula, Iowa, March 1890; volunteered for service at Camp Meade, Md., May 18, 1918; served overseas 12 months with 74th Co. 66th Railway Transportation Corps.

Wagoner Frank Kreuder Son of Mrs. Katharine M. Kreuder, born at Mt. Carroll, Illinois November 30, 1889; inducted for service at Jefferson Barracks, MO May 4th, 1918; served overseas 11 months with Supply Co. 55th Infantry 7th Division on the Puvenelle Sector West of the Moselle and later on the Puvenelle Sector.



Sailor Hans Kronberg - no photo - Volunteered at Great Lakes Naval Training Station in 1917 and served during the period of War.
