Fred William Arians Son of William and Tina Arians, born at Sterling, Illinois April 28, 1896; volunteered for service July 30, 1918 at Mt. Carroll, Ill. Was sent to New Cumberland, Pa. Where he died of pneumonia October 19, 1918. He is now buried at Sterling, Illinois.

Corporal Ernest LeRoy Frey Son of Henry and Ida Frey, born at Pearl City, Illinois March 1892; inducted for service at Mt. Carroll, Illinois September 19, 1917; served overseas 18 months with Co. I. 342 Inft., and Co. C. 7th Inft., 3rd Division and 3rd Army Composite Regiment Band. Participated in battles on Marne Sector, Champagne-Marne Defensive, Aisne-Marne, St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne Offensives. Served in Army of Occupation at Coblenz, Germany.

Private Charles G. Uhrhammer Son of Mrs. Emma Uhrhammer, born at Kankakee, Illinois April 3, 1890; inducted for service at Mt. Carroll, April 25, 1918, and served with Co. G. 34th Infantry.
Pvt. 1CL Robert Wallace Weidenhammer Son of Wallace J. and Sarah J. Weidenhammer, born at Linstoneville, Pa. September 4, 1890; inducted for service at Mt. Carroll, Illinois November 28, 1917; served overseas 14 months with Co. I. 342 Inft. 86th Division and Co. G. 39th Inft. 4th Division, participating in Aisne-Marne, Vesler River, St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne Battles. Army of Occupation at Coblenz, Germany. Received Divisional Citation.
