Private Henry Baumgardt, son of Gurt F. Baumgardt of Chadwick, Ill., born at Fair Haven, Ill. November 11, 1897. Inducted into the service May 25, 1918 at Camp Gordon, GA. Served in 6th I. A. R. D. Infantry. Overseas service nine months and died of spinal meningitis in France, March 31, 1919. During his service he was thrice wounded.

1st Lieut. Arthur Alfred Calkins, son of Jessie E. and Rebecca Calkins, born at Altmar, New York August 1887; volunteered for service at Chadwick, Illinois June 1918 and served overseas 9 months as Commanding Officer of Evacuation Ambulance Co. 124.
Jas. C. Cartwright Inducted for service at Savanna, IL. May 25, 1918, serving 5 mts overseas with Co.I 47th Inf., 4th Div., participated in battles at St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne, where he was wounded in right foot and spine by shrapnel, spending 2 mts in hospital in France, then transferred to States, spending 3 mts in hospital at Camp Sherman, OH. where he received his discharge March 26, 1919.
