After preliminary meetings were held at the homes of Comrades Sprecher and Root, Shiloh W. R. C. No. 227 was organized with eighteen charter members in the I. O. O. F. Hall February 18, 1893. Inez Humbert, Dept. Aid, of Shannon, acted as Instituting officer. Following were the first officers: Pres. Nancy Sprecher; S. V. Pres., Anna Lafferty; Treas. Ora Sprecher; Conductor, Roxa Glotfelty; Asst. Con. Lizzie Haller; Guard, Anna Sprecher; Asst. Guard, Matilda Ford.

In the eight years the Corps has had three Presidents -- Nancy Sprecher, who served from February ’93 to January ‘97, Anna Bailey ’97 to ‘98, Nancy Sprecher ’98 to ‘99, Anna Lafferty ’99 to 1901. The Corps has lost by death four members -- Ella Hawk, Louisa Teachout, Annetta Moore, Sarah Pratt. The Corps now numbers seventy-eight members.
