Lyle & Martha Ruth (Fleming) Wetzell
50th Wedding Anniversary 1922 - 1972

Mr. and Mrs. Lyle H. Wetzell will be honored at open house Sunday afternoon, August 13 from 2 until 4 p.m. at the Milledgeville United Methodist Church in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary. They will be happy to greet their relatives and friends at theat time. The event is being planned by the couple’s three children, Mrs. Jack (Alice) Newton, Sterling; Mrs. Jack (Margaret) Ferris, Houston, Tex.; and Dr. Tom Wetzell, Alden, Minn.; and by Mrs. Wetzell’s sister, Mrs. Austa Delbridge, Milledgeville. The family also includes 12 grandchildren. Lyle Wetzell and Ruth Fleming were married Aug. 9, 1922 at the home of the bride’s parents in Milledgeville. They have farmed their entire married life in the Coleta and Milledgeville area. Mrs. Wetzell taught in the Milledgeville School from 1917 through 1919 and in the eighth grade of Wallace School, Sterling from 1919 to 1922. The couple requests that gifts be omitted.
