C. Leroy Wolfe, also known as Roy Wolfe, was born July 5, 1880 in Iowa, probably Benton County, Iowa, the son of Charles David and Rosamond (Lambert) Wolfe.

After initially living in Benton County after marrying, his parents and children returned to Carroll County, possibly as early as January 1883, but certainly by June 1900. Roy Wolfe died on February 9, 1905, unmarried, in Carroll County , Illinois.

He is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery , Mt. Carroll , Illinois .
