Many of our readers will remember of E. C. Boyer, who for more than a year clerked in A. B. Puterbaugh's grain and stock office, in this place. Mr. Boyer left Milledgeville in July, '95 to accept a position in the First National Bank at Morrison. Later he went to Primghar, Iowa, where he engaged in the real estate and loan business. The Chicago Cronical of Aug. 20 contains the following sad news: - "Primghar, Iowa, Aug. 19 - E. D. Boyer took part in a baseball game on one of the hottest days last week. His violent exercise in the hot sun greatly exhausted him. A few house later he began to act peculiarly. On a careful examination by experts he was pronounced insane and has been sent to the state asylum at Independence. His recovery is doubtful."
