A Lanark child who reportedly fell into a bucket of scalding water Monday was reported in "Fair" condition today at KSB hospital where she is being treated for third degree burns.

The child, Laurie Ann Weibers, 23 months, is the daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Laurence Weibers, Lanark. The accident happened at 12:30 p.m. Monday at the home of her grandfather J. Lewis Kniel. The child sustained third degree burns from the waist down.
