ZUGSCHWERDT FAMILY REUNION

The 19th annual reunion of the Zugschwerdt family was held Sunday [07/11/1943] in the Chadwick village park with 51 present. After the picnic dinner the following officers were elected for the ensuring year: President William Linker; vice president Ned Geldmacher; secretary ad treasurer, William Zugschwerdt. It was voted to meet next year the first Sunday after the Fourth of July at the village park.
Mrs. Margaret Zugschwerdt was the oldest member present and Barton Lee Temple was the youngest. Three marriages, two births and no death were reported for the year. There are four members of the family in the service, Erwin Plumer, Warner Zugschwerdt, Duan Linker and Orville Nite.
Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Glen Zugschwerdt and family of Lanark; Mr. and Mrs. Melville McKean and daughters of Milledgeville; Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Zugschwerdt, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Zugschwerdt, Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Zugschwerdt, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Zugschwerdt, Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. William Linker, Mrs. Emma Zugschwerdt, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Mackey and family, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Roberts and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Zugschwerdt, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Zugschwerdt, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Zugschwerdt and family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Geldmacher and son Ned, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Harve Zugschwerdt and three visitors, Miss Ruth Adolph, Mrs. Frank Julian of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Miss Dorothy Putcamp of Rockford.
