Photos and information contributed by Alice Horner
The interior photo shows just how plain and dank country schools really were.
The faces of the children in this interior picture are blurred in the original,
its just being included to show what the inside of the school looked like.
Reid Horner, the father of Alice Horner, taught at Libertyville school for one
year, maybe around 1922. Mr. Reid didn't have any sort of teaching
certificate and he'd never been to college; in those days if they needed a
teacher, a high school diploma was enough. A Goodly Heritage shows the address
of Libertyville School to be District No. 93. 9678 E. Telegraph Road.
It is believed the building no longer exists.
