
Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the home of the officiating clergyman, Rev. J. L. Buckwalter, occurred the marriage of Earl R. Holy and Miss. Myrtle Sisler. The ring ceremony was used., in the presence of a few invited guests. Charles and Luverta Sisler, brother and sister of the bride, acted as attendants of the bridal pair. After the ceremony they drove to the home of the bride’s mother, Mrs. Mary Sisler, where a supper was served to about forty relatives and friends.
Mr. Holy owns and operates a farm on the Mt. Carroll - Savanna road, and is a young man of good habits and is well and favorably known. Miss Sisler, daughter of Mrs. Mary Sisler, of Woodland, has been living in Mt. Carroll for several years and is a young lady of good christian character and has a large number of friends and acquaintances. She will be worthy helpmeet to the young man she has chosen as a life companion. They will be at home to their friends n their farm after March first. The Mirror Democrat adds its congratulations to those of others in the community, all of whom wish the young people a full measure of prosperity and happiness.
