An early morning wedding took place at Lanark Sunday, the bride being a young lady residing near that city and the groom a well known Mt. Carroll young man, Miss Mildred Swartz and Harold Noble, respectively. The ceremony was performed at 8 o’clock by Rev. Z. T. Livengood at his home in the presence of a few relatives. The wedding couple was attended by Mr. And Mrs. Louis Noble of Mt. Carroll, Louis being a brother of the groom. After congratulations had been extended the newly weds repaired to the home of the bride where a wedding breakfast was served, and they departed in their auto for a wedding tour. They will visit in Rockford and Chicago and also points in Indiana and returning to go to housekeeping here.
The groom is one of the best known of Mt. Carroll young men. He is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Noble and has spent most of his life in this city. He is associated with his father in the grocery business and has an extensive acquaintance. We will say that he is highly regarded and no one in our city is more favorably thought of than he. He is a graduate of the Mt. Carroll schools. His bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chalice Swartz of near Lanark. She is a lady of attainments and education. After graduating from the Lanark Schools she took up teaching and has since been one of the prominent rural teachers. She is known to a great many Mt. Carroll people, who esteem her highly. She will be welcomed as she comes to preside in the new home.
The best wishes of all who know these young people will be with them. They are worthy of the best that life can bestow.
