Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock occurred the marriage of Mr. Allen Smith and Miss Nellie Weidman at the U. B. Parsonage, Rev. Edwards officiating. (Note: The wedding date, December 21, 1922, has been handwritten on this newspaper clipping.)
Allen is a son of the late Al Smith of this city and has made his home with his uncle, John Smith, on the farm at Center Hill. A young man of good habits and industrious; well worthy the bride he has chosen.
The bride is the accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Weidman of Center Hill. She was a student of the vocal music department at the Frances Shimer School and uses her talent for the good others in leading the choir at the Center Hill church where she is also the teacher of the Live Wire class in the Sunday school..
This couple is very popular among the young people of the community who will join with us in wishing them a very happy married life.
