He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Conover Edwards, children, Beth Lacy, Amy Marr, and Joseph Edwards of Virginia, Jacqueline Jo Edwards Jackson of Elkhart, Indiana. Many grandchildren of Cass co, and Elkhart, Indiana. He was a farmer.

Joseph Edwin Edwards was born 1-3-1877, child of John Edwards coming from Shropshire, England and Ruth Sharpe Edwards of Birmingham, England. He was a farmer, survived by his wife, Martha Hinchee Edwards, two daughters, Mrs. Harold Baker, and Mrs. C Fortenberry off Miss, three sons, Byron, and Dwight of Virginia, Gene of Peoria, two sisters, Mrs. Elmer Baker of Tallula and Mrs. Fred Vettings of Arvada, Colorado, and Harry Edwards of Ashland. Burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
Martha Hinchee Edwards
Mrs. Martha Edwards widow of JE Edwards died 1966. She was a child of James Monroe Hinche and Mary Ellen Clark.She was born in 1878 in Cass Co. Survivors are Mrs. H. Baker, Mrs. E Fortenberry of Miss, three sons, Byron, and Dwight of Virginia and Gene of Peoria, ll grandchildren and many g g grandchildren. Burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.

Beardstown - Scott Alan Emberton, 24, of Beardstown died at 9:36 p.m. Wednesday at his residence. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Beardstown Church of the Nazarene, with burial in Beardstown City Cemetery. Sager Funeral Home, Beardstown, is in charge of arrangements. Surviving are his father, Joe Emberton of Lehigh Acres, Fla., and mother, Amelia Cope of Cordova; grandmother, Annabele Smith of Beardstown; great-grandfather, Roy Baldwin of Beardstown; one brother, Jason Ruyle of South Carolina; one sister, Janet Emberton of Clayton; and two half-brothers, Eddie and Britain Emberton, both of Lehigh Acres, Fla. Donna Potter Evans, 79, Mission, Kan., passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Sweet Life at Grand Court, Overland Park, Kan. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, Kan. Friends may call from 12-1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Virginia. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Donna was born July 12, 1931, in Virginia, to Willard E. and Hazel G. (Sanders) Potter. Donna married Donald L. Evans in Aurora, and they had celebrated their 50 year anniversary. She was an admitting clerk at Shawnee Mission Medical Center for 15 years, retiring in 2006. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 1992; and her sister, Joellen Leffler. Survivors include her son, Brian Evans and wife, Laura of Mission, Kan.; daughter, Sandra Evans of Emporia, Kan.; and three grandchildren, Donald, Ashley and Ellie Evans. Josephine "Josie" Everhart, 76, of Astoria, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville. She was born June 11, 1923, in Beardstown, the daughter of Joseph and Mamie May (Anderson) Everhart. She is survived by one sister, Fern Everhart of Astoria, and one brother, Joseph Everhart, address unknown. She was preceded in death by two siblings. She was a homemaker. Graveside services were Friday, May 5, 2000, at the Astoria Cemetery with Rev. Clifford Parry officiating. Burial was in the Astoria Cemetery.
