Located
on 1750N, turn west (right) off of Illinois Route 51, just southwest of
Moweaqua, IL. Follow this road, it has a few curves, to the T road and
turn right. The Cemetery is on the right hand side of the road
just past the first house but before the curve.
Please note that there could be errors. A lot of the stones are in bad
shape, so we did rubbings but still some were hard to read. The former
cemetery sexton , now deceased, stated that there are no official
records of this cemetery. There are also a lot of stones laying
down in the ground that are to deep to try to read.
NOTE: David, Andrew and William Hays, migrated from North Otter Twp.,
Macoupin Co., IL. around the mid 1840's and were all sons of William
Hays and Elizabeth Unknown. Before Migrating to Macoupin Co., IL
William & Elizabeth Hays settled in Martin Co., IN. Before that
they were from North and South Carolina.
