The Archer House

 Marshall, Clark County, Illinois

The Archer House was built in 1841 as a stagecoach inn by Colonel William B. Archer, who served in the legislature for 16 years as well as in both the Black Hawk and Mexican war. It is a two-story, brick building located in Marshall at the intersection of Illinois Route 1 and the National Road (717 Archer Avenue).
