MARTINSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL MARSHALL HERALD 26-NOV-1913 Submitted by: Ron Cornwell |

That was a delightful half day the civil war veterans spent as the guests of the Martinsville High School on last Thursday afternoon. The old boys can’t get over the grand entertainment given them and the splendid dinner of which the partook so heartily. Nothing seems too good for them. A splendid program was rendered; the principle address was delivered by Jesse Stout. A few of the boys gave some of their personal experiences of war adventures. It was indeed a half day to be long remembered by the veterans present. We here give the names of those present and company and regiment to which they belong. James Tucker—Company H, 35th Illinois B.
