A Horrible Murder—A most bloody and inhuman murder was committed in Clinton county, Illinois, on Tuesday of last week, on the person of Mrs. Henry Bond and her nephew, a lad of twelve years, by a young man who had formerly worked for Mr. Bond, and had recently been discharged. The County Court of Clinton county, finding it rather expensive boarding their paupers among the people, have concluded, as an economical measure, to build a county poor house and will, when the building is completed, board the unfortunate in the county house. The new building is to be erected on the county farm which comprises 160 acres and is situated in the immediate vicinity of Carlyle, the county seat. Carlyle - William Teeters, 31, was killed instantly north of Ferrin while at work placing machinery for the drilling of an oil well. He slipped and was caught by a heavy piece of the machinery.
