Bachelor Grove Cemetery – Other names – The alternate (and probably historically
correct) spelling of Batchelor Grove Cemetery should be listed. Schmidt
and Smith should be listed on one line as the German and English versions of the
same name. References to “Old Bachelors Grove” are contemporary (new)
references to differentiate this cemetery from Trinity Evangelical Lutheran
Cemetery that was also referenced as Bachelor Grove. It should also be
noted that the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and Cemetery (cemetery on Oak
Park Avenue north of 159th Street) was also known for some time in
its early years as the church at Bachelor Grove and Bachelor Grove Cemetery.

do not believe this is correct, and since it does not receive mail delivery, it
is not an appropriate reference. It is actually unincorporated Bremen
Township. Nearest properties receiving mail would be addressed Palos
Heights, Oak Forest, or possibly Tinley Park.
