NOTES: John Stone was executed publicly on the prairie on the south side.
William Jackson and Albert Staub were also executed publicly, but on the west side.
After that executions were private and took place in the courthouse until 1878, since which time they have taken place in the county jail on the north side. Rafferty was hanged in Waukegan for murder in Chicago.
